“Kangaroo Island” is an award-winning, theatrical feature film, written, directed, edited and produced at Piro, with the support of the South Australian Government. In its first two weeks of theatrical release it became one of Australia’s top ten grossing films of 2025, hailed by many as “the best Australian film in years” and some as “one of the best films in years.” A U.S. Audience survey (third party) showed a score above 9/10 (250+ audience). It is scheduled for US release in 2026 when it will also be available in Australia/New Zealand on a leading streamer, making it an enormous win for Tourism South Australia.
